Industrial automation

Custom software and IoT for production.

Software that makes machines and lines programmable, monitored and traceable: from the PLC and the operator screen to the database and the application engineers and management use every day.

Production software

Software written by people who build the line.

Because we design the automation too, the software reflects how the process really runs. Typical work:

  • Control and monitoring applications (C#, WPF) giving engineers and management production and quality data
  • PLC, motion and HMI programming, including Beckhoff TwinCAT soft-PLCs
  • SQL databases for traceability: torque curves, test results, batches
  • Communication with legacy machines and newly purchased equipment
  • Production planning and monitoring systems

Example: an assembly line

For a metered-housing assembly line we delivered all the automation (PLCs, HMIs, PCs, communications and databases) and the software to program the line and monitor every screwing and test operation, so project engineers and management can see production and quality data.

IoT applications

Connected devices, from firmware to the phone.

Firmware

Embedded software for ESP32 microcontrollers with sensors, displays and real-time data transfer.

Communications

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and web APIs for two-way JSON or XML exchange between devices and systems.

Databases

Cloud or local SQL Server databases that collect device data reliably.

Mobile apps

Android applications to visualise data and control the devices.

Discuss your engineering problem.

Tell us what you are developing, changing or trying to fix. We first look at the engineering question, then say plainly what is worth doing: a calculation, a design review, a test, a simulation, or a combination.
